The 21stcentury is known as the age of science and technology. With the evolution of internet technology, there has been a dramatic change in the society, and it plays a very important role in our daily life as well. The use of modern technology makes many lives easier, simpler and convenience. It makes our everyday chores less time consuming, makes things that seems to be impossible or difficult in the past to be done easily which mean it helps us improve our standard of living. Moreover, it provided many opportunities for human such as the access to education, medication, industry, transportation, and many more. Nowadays, most of the people cannot imagine their lives without the use of technology because people use it in almost every daily activity. We use technology at home, at work, for communication, learning, securing data, manufacturing and many more.
Additionally, with the process of developing a better interconnections system and the fast-growing speed of technological advancement, smartphone has become the most common used electronic device globally and known as the most convenient technological ideas ever. There was a statistic stating that smartphone was owned by more than half of the world population(Munoz, 2019). Smartphones are more than just receiving phone calls, but it offered advanced features to the users such as access to internet, instant email, video call, web surfing, messenger, music, Bluetooth, high quality camera application, gaming panel, GPS (global positioning system) and many other applications and programs that users need.
Now that smartphone contains important information such as contact number, personal pictures, personal information, and financial data, people start to rely on it. So, losing one or got one stolen can become their biggest fear and could even make them feel like it is the end of the world .Thankfully, many programmers in this modern age are trying to solve this problem by creating many technological tools such as phone locator or phone tracking system that can help us find and recover our phone.
Phone locator/tracking system is a software that can keep your smart phone from being lost, misplace or stolen. It works by activating GPS tracking system that identifies the location of the device. It can help you to keep your phone safe and secure. There are many apps in Appstore and Google play store that can track down your lost device. You can locate it on map after log into your account to the computer. Not only it tracks your smartphone/tablet, but there are many other good features such as:
- Delete your data
- Alerting your device
- Lockdown or erase the data on your device altogether.(Cipriani, 2020)
To decrease the worry on losing the mobile phone, many company including Apple has announced the “Find my iPhone” app that helps users to protect the phone or tablet if they are lost or got stolen (Carman, 2019). The best recommendation is that it is important to install the tracking app on your device before it get lost. While there are many important features, in order to get the most out of the program, the consumer must first learn how their mobile phone tracking app works.
